Rachel Mary Owen (30 November 1968 – 18 December 2016) was a Welsh photographer, printmaker and lecturer on medieval Italian literature. She was married to the Radiohead singer Thom Yorke; they announced their separation in 2015.

8 de jun. de 2018 · “Rachel Owen: The Inferno Illustrations displays 34 photographic prints of mixed-media collage works, created in response to the Inferno in the Divine Comedy, a 14th century poem by the Italian poet Dante. This exhibition marks the culmination of Rachel Owen’s (1968 – 2016) lifelong academic and artistic engagement with the text.

Digital Prints — Rachel Owen. Drawn from landscapes, seascapes, memories and dreams, these digital collages are a fusion of individual sketches and paintings. Composed to reflect a thought, feeling or moment experienced, recollections are compiled, details obscured and fragmented as each image absorbs the next and intricate connections reemerge.
Before her death in 2016, the artist Rachel Owen began an ambitious project: illustrating The Divine Comedy. This volume includes the completed illustrations for Dante’s Inferno, which cast the viewer as a first-person pilgrim through the underworld.
