They achieved early popularity in the late 1990s as part of the French house movement, combining elements of house music with funk, disco, techno, rock and synth-pop.

11 de may. de 2024 · Punk [편집] '폐물', '못쓰는 것'을 뜻하는 영단어. 보통 현실과는 다른, 비틀리고 우울한 분위기를 가진 것들을 펑크스럽다고 표현한다. 한때는 욕설인 적이 있었다. 뜻은 대략 불한당, 양아치 정도. 요즘은 영어에서 이 단어를 욕으로 쓰기에는 좀 촌스럽거나 기성세대의 느낌이 난다고 한다. 대표적인 예로 더티 해리 [1] 의 명대사 "Well, do you Punk?" 등이 있다. 펑크 록 과 펑크 문화 의 준어로 많이 쓰인다.
