Starting with Echoes and DSOTM and onward they solidified themselves as a Progressive rock band more so than any other genre, but the blues and jazz influences can be heard throughout. If I were talking to a casual fan or someone that isn't very familiar with Pink Floyd I would say they're Progressive rock.
