Most of the British rock superstars of Pink Floyd's generation took little notice of the late-'70s punk revolution. While the three extended epics that make up the bulk of Animals couldn't sound less like the Sex Pistols, Roger Waters' venomous, Orwellian lyrics viciously dismiss the whole of modern British society as dogs, pigs, and sheep.
