Peter «Pete» Shotton (Liverpool, Inglaterra; 4 de agosto de 1941-Knutsford, Inglaterra; 24 de marzo de 2017 [1] ) fue un empresario y músico británico, conocido por su larga amistad con John Lennon de The Beatles y por haber sido miembro del grupo The Quarrymen.

Lennon founded a skiffle group with his close friend Pete Shotton and after a week of gaining new members, they named themselves The Quarrymen. The Quarrymen played at parties, school dances, cinemas and amateur skiffle contests before Paul McCartney joined in early July, 1957.
