Holliman's original singing partner, Dee C. Lee, had earlier left the group to join the Style Council and later married its lead vocalist Paul Weller. [2] Although DeMacque had ambitions to be a solo performer after Wham!, Holliman convinced her that it would be best to proceed as a duo.
She later moved to St Lucia, where she and her husband operate a charter sailing business. Her nephew was the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest contestant representing Austria, Cesár Sampson. In 2021, DeMacque and Shirley Kemp released their joint autobiography, Pepsi & Shirlie: It's All in Black and White, published by Welbeck.

3 de ago. de 2018 · Shirlie married Spandau Ballet guitarist and singer Martin Kemp. They have two children, with Mum and daughter Harley appearing in the video for The Spice Girls hit single “Mama”. Pepsi and Shirlie reunited in 2000 to provide backing vocals on Spice Girl Geri Halliwell’s No.1 hit “Bag It Up”.

Starting from the early 1980s to Wham!’s breakup in 1986, Shirlie was Wham!’s constant collaborator along with fellow backing singer Helen “Pepsi” DeMacque.
