15 de jun. de 2020 · La historia de la música Reggae empieza a mediados de la década de los 60’s, en la isla de Jamaica, situada en el caribe. El reggae tuvo como grandes influencias dos estilos de música: el Ska y el Rocksteady. Aunque el tienen muchas similitudes, el Ska es más rápido que el Reggae.
En sentido estricto, el reggae es la música desarrollada entre 1969 y 1983, un período de mayor diversidad musical que las anteriores en la que el bajo eléctrico asumió un papel más central y conforme fue pasando el tiempo del período aumentó la influencia del movimiento Rasta en las letras y el sonido. 5 .
El reggae tuvo sus inicios en Jamaica a mediados del siglo XX (Específicamente en los 60). Se comete la equivocación de asociar con este nombre a muchos estilos provenientes de Jamaica. Pero estrictamente es una clase de música que se dio en crecimiento de otros géneros como los de “rocksteady” y “ska”.
