It tackles topics such as earthquakes, climate change, the formation of continents and oceans, resource development, the hydrosphere and the origins of life. Oxy’s geology program offers you an understanding of the Earth, the processes that affect its surface and interior, its formation and evolution through time, and its function as the physical environment for the living world.
Campus Visits are held most weekdays, and Saturdays in April and October, and include both an information session and guided tour. Information sessions last 30 minutes and are led by an Admission Officer, providing an overview of academic life at Oxy and an introduction to the application and financial aid process.
