Sleepless in Seattle is a 1993 American romantic comedy film directed by Nora Ephron, from a screenplay she wrote with David S. Ward and Jeff Arch. Starring Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan, the film follows a journalist (Ryan) who becomes enamored with a widowed architect (Hanks), when the latter's son calls in to a talk radio program requesting a new partner for his grieving father.

So when I say ‘Sleepless In Seattle is the greatest romantic comedy of all time’ what I really mean is, it’s my favourite. 25 years after its first release, it still is. My favourite and (subjectively, problematically) the best. Here are 25 reasons why:
Summaries. A recently widowed man's son calls a radio talk-show in an attempt to find his father a partner. After his wife Maggie passes away, Sam Baldwin and his 8-year-old son Jonah relocate from Chicago to Seattle to escape the grief associated with Maggie's death. Eighteen months later Sam is still grieving and can't sleep.
