23 de ene. de 2019 · Noor-un-Nisa Inayat Khan (January 1, 1914 –September 13, 1944), also known as Nora Inayat-Khan or Nora Baker, was a renowned British spy of Indian heritage. During one period of World War II, she handled clandestine radio traffic in occupied Paris nearly singlehandedly. Khan also broke new ground as a Muslim female operative.
The story of Noor Inayat Khan, which now has been described in at least three biographies and probably in a movie, is extraordinary. Her death underscores the tragedy of war--the loss of people like her with so much human potential. She was a musician, a published writer of children's stories, and a pacifist.
