1 de sept. de 2021 · Natasha's law was put forward following the death of 15-year-old Natasha Ednan-Laperouse, who suffered a fatal allergic reaction from a Pret A Manger sandwich in July 2016.
It shall include all the ingredients of the food, in descending order of weight, as recorded at the time of their use in the manufacture of the food. They can be in bold type, CAPITAL letters, contrasting colours, or underlined. Alternative allergen statements, such as ‘Contains: wheat, egg, and milk’ are not permitted.

What is Natasha's Law? As of the 1 st of October, a new piece of legislation, Natasha’s Law, has been put in place for all food retailers in the UK. This legislation is to ensure that all food retailers producing food on their premises and selling pre-packaged food, are to clearly display all ingredients and allergen information on every product.

The Texas Governor has signed the concussion legislation into law, it is called Natasha’s Law; named after Natasha Helmick a very strong advocate for this legislation. We happened upon this legislative piece when we were examining the Illinois process, and felt it was very good and forward thinking.
