19 de jul. de 2023 · In October 2021, following the tragic death of Natasha Ednan-Laperouse, we introduced a new allergen labelling law, also known as Natasha’s Law. The new law requires businesses selling pre-packed for direct sale (PPDS) food to attach a label containing the name of the product and a full ingredients list to each individual PPDS product, with allergens emphasised within the list.

Natasha’s Law was introduced following the tragic death of Natasha Ednan-Laperous who died from anaphylaxis in 2016 after consuming a Pret a Manger baguette which contained sesame. Subsequent campaigning by Natasha’s family, who set up the Natasha Allergy Research Foundation , and the outcome of the inquest into Natasha’s death led to the change in legislation.
