13 de oct. de 2021 · Natasha’s Law came into force on 1 October 2021, which means that we are now already seeing important changes to the way certain foods are labelled and sold. To help ensure food businesses are up-to-speed and are implementing these changes, I’ve summarised the law and what it means, alongside a four-step plan for following it.
On 1 October 2021 they changed significantly, particularly related to allergen labelling requirements ('Natasha's law'); as such, information on PPDS foods has been moved into a separate guide: 'Labelling of prepacked-for-direct-sale foods'.

The Natasha’s Law update to the legislation meant that businesses are now required to provide a full list of ingredients on any food that is PPDS – foods that are prepared and packed by staff in a café, restaurant, pub, hotel or other food business and put on a shelf, in a refrigerator, or a hot cabinet ready to be purchased and consumed.

Most notably, Pret A Manger faces trial after student had severe allergic reaction to sesame in sandwich that ‘was not correctly labelled’. This case has now led to Natasha’s Law, which is due to come into effect October 2021.
