Reading text. My last holiday was a five-day trip to Prague in the Czech Republic. I know Prague well because I lived there when I was at university, more than ten years ago. Instead of staying in a hotel, I stayed with one of my old friends. It was so much fun, and a little bit like my old life.

In an essay about your last holiday you should talk about: where, when and how you travelled. who you went with. where and how long you stayed. what you visited/saw. what activities you did.

If instead the statement is about a holiday you will have in the future, then "Thanks for the kind words" would be acceptable, though a little bit formal.
Describe the best holiday/vacation you have had. You should say: where you went. what this place was like. what you did. and explain why it was the best holiday/vacation you have had.
