Oozing style, attitude & unpredictability, the band recorded a peerless legacy of songs combining homage, honesty & killer hooks. As Mott’s focal point, lead singer Ian Hunter was also among one of the toughest & most inventive writers of the early Seventies.
Hace 9 horas · Many, many years ago I read Ian Hunter’s ‘Diary Of A Rock ‘n’ Roll Star’ and I really loved how he documented his band Mott The Hoople’s 1972 American tour in the book. It gave a fascinating insight, and a behind the scenes look into the life of a touring rock ‘n’ roll band.
It may just be my white whale. I've been able to play every part of One, Nothing Else Matters, and Enter Sandman including solos. I can get the rhythm and fills in Crazy On You just fine. I play a bunch if Zep, BOC, Stones, Scorpions, many other 60s-70s forward rock without a problem. I can play other Heart songs.

It’s often been in the news because of the effects of mining on the land and inhabitants, rebuilding impacts on but hopefully strengthens both.
