SOAR is the time to sign up for classes and prepare for your first semester at MSU. It is a one-day session that includes class registration, academic advisor meetings, and the chance to connect with students and employees.
Student Orientation, Advising and Registration (SOAR) SOAR is a one-day overview of the educational opportunities and services at MSU. New students will learn more about MSU, register for classes and meet other students, faculty and staff. Students will also meet with academic advisors.

MSU offers SOAR sessions for new students, transfer students, Eagle Scholars (dual-credit) and students in the George M. Luckey Jr. Academic Honors Program.

After receiving an Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) Power Grant in October 2023, MSU is partnering with the Shaping Our Appalachian Region (SOAR) Innovation Team to host an upcoming event.
