A poster child for weaponised robotics, the final Moose design sported a myriad of armaments and a comprehensive range of decals for operation and identification. With an extensive range of mobility and dexterity on the ground and vectoring turbojet thrusters for flight, this swiss-army-knife of a robot became a Weta Workshop favourite.

26 de ene. de 2021 · In Neill Blomkamp’s cult sci-fi action film CHAPPiE (2015), MOOSE is a heavy weapons machine, originally engineered as a Police Force aid. In addition to creating the full-sized robot, Weta Workshop produced a miniature MOOSE mech as a tabletop prop for the film.
I was the project supervisor at Weta Workshop for the 1:1 scale build of the Moose robot from Chappie, way back in 2013/14. Sadly I did not get to build the 3d model as that was done already by the vfx house.
