    Montrose was an excellent band - quite influential! My first real memory of Hagar specifically was when VOA came out in '84. I remember other stuff like Three Lock Box but MTV put I Can't Drive 55 in pretty heavy rotation and really caught my attention. Funny enough, his "unnamed" album (later christened "I Never Said Goodbye") was my first CD.
