Michael Kelly (25 December 1762 – 9 October 1826) ... Old Drury Lane, 1787–1791. In London, Kelly and Stephen Storace met at once with Thomas Linley and his daughters (Mrs. Sheridan and Mrs. Tickell), and saw John Kemble and Mrs Crouch in Richard Coeur de Lion.
Irish tenor and composer. Début Dublin 1779 in Piccinni opera. Sang at Vienna Court Opera, 1783–7, becoming friend of Mozart and creating roles of Basilio and Curzio in Le nozze di Figaro, 1786. Sang in London 1787; actor‐man. King's Th., London, 1793.
Michael Kelly (25 December 1762 – 9 October 1826) was an Irish tenor, composer and theatrical manager who made an international career of importance in musical history. One of the leading figures in British musical theatre around the turn of the nineteenth century, he was a close associate of playwright and poet Richard Brinsley Sheridan.

It premiered on 1 January 1791 at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, in London with a great success, [1] featuring many famous singers and actors of the time, such as sopranos Nancy Storace [2] and Anna Maria Crouch, tenor Michael Kelly [3] as well as Shakespearean actors (in spoken roles) such as John Bannister and Richard "Dicky" Suett .
