While it is true that teenagers are impulsive and rash in their decisions, and Shakespeare does portray that not only in R&J but in many other of his plays, I think it's important to also remember that Shakespeare isn't condemning Romeo and Juliet for loving, but instead, he is condemning their parents for hating.
