Mary Jane Watson, often shortened to MJ, is a fictional character first appearing originally in Marvel comic books created by writer Stan Lee and artist John Romita, Sr. in 1965. Her part was to be played by Shailene Woodley in the 2014 film The Amazing Spider-Man 2.However, during shooting, her part was cut and she was to be featured in the cancelled The Amazing Spider-Man 3.
She was a terrible mary jane for the trilogy. She was smug and obnoxious and literally had nothing in common with the real MJ Watson. They definitely would have been better served by making her an original character just called Michelle Jones to avoid comparisons as mentioned above, but she still would have been a trash character played by a terrible actress.
