Mark Anthony McGann (born 12 July 1961) is an English actor. Early life. He attended the De La Salle Grammar School, Liverpool. Mark's father Joe was a Royal Naval Commando who died in 1984, and his mother Clare was a teacher. His three brothers Paul, Stephen, and Joe (named after his father), are all actors.

Early life. Mark grew up in the inner-city Kensington area of Liverpool with his metallurgist father Joe (1924-1984) and schoolteacher mother Clare (1935 - present) and his three brothers and sister Joe, Paul, Stephen and Clare.
Mark McGann has been playing the role of John Lennon, on and off, for over 30 years. He steps into John’s shoes again for In My Life at the Royal Court Theatre, Liverpool, on August 24, a show which features Beatles tribute band Pepperland, from Sweden. Mark portrays John Lennon in the 1985 movie John and Yoko A Love Story, with Kim Miyori as Yoko.
