Marco Brambilla (born 25 September 1960) is an Italian-born Canadian contemporary artist and film director, known for re-contextualizations of popular and found imagery, and use of 3D imaging technologies in public installations and video art.
Director de cine estadounidense, de origen italiano, nacido en Milán en 1960. Vida. El primer título de Brambilla, cuyo trabajo se ha desarrollado en los Estados Unidos, Demolition Man (1993), le ofreció la oportunidad de llamar la atención de la industria.
La obra de Brambilla reapropia el lenguaje de la cultura pop para representar las tensiones presentes en la religión, la industria y la celebridad: ascensión y caída, inocencia y experiencia, vanidad y espectáculo, sexualidad y descubrimiento, simplicidad y exceso.
