Magdalen College alumni are a vital part of the college’s extended community across the country and across time. Alumni assist the college in carrying out its mission and continue to build up a vibrant community that includes alumni, current students, faculty, and staff.
A list of alumni of Magdalen College (/ ˈ m ɔː d l ɪ n / MAWD-lin), one of the constituent colleges of the University of Oxford in England. Notable former students include politicians, lawyers, bishops, poets, and academics. The list is largely male as women were first admitted to study at Magdalen in 1979.

Magdalen quickly became one of Oxford’s most prominent colleges. Kings and Princes visited us, including Edward IV, Richard III and James I. We soon produced alumni who achieved great things in later life, including Thomas Wolsey, Fellow here in the 1490s, and Henry VIII’s chief minister for two decades.

Magdalen College invites all alumni, friends of the college, and visitors to campus throughout Holy Week and the Paschal Triduum. All liturgies are open to the public. The liturgical cycle of the Church and of our collegiate community reaches its pinnacle during this solemn time.
