The act was eventually rebranded as King Crimson, however, and an album called Discipline was released in late 1981.
Just got Power to Believe and Discipline on 200g vinyl. Absolutely stoked, and not shocked they sound amazing. Curious to see where people have Power to Believe in their “rankings” or favorites from KC. I’d say it’s my favorite album by them, with Discipline as a close second.
19 de abr. de 2024 · Adrian Belew, King Crimson's singer on this album, worked on Remain In Light of course. Its emphasis is on rhythm rather than harmony, which dominated earlier King Crimson. The first song Elephant Talk really sounds like Talking Heads, Belew's vocal delivery almost a direct copy of David Byrne.
