Biografías. Blasco Núñez Vela fue el primer virrey del Perú. Nació en Ávila hacia 1495. Hijo de Luis Núñez Vela, señor del mayorazgo de Tabladillo, y de doña Isabel de Villalva. Cuando fue nombrado para el gobierno virreinal de Lima, en abril de 1543, era hombre de avanzada edad.
