RMS Titanic Survivor. Miss Kate Florence Phillips was born in Kings Norton, Worcestershire, England on 1 January 1893. She was one of five children born to Thomas Charles Phillips (b. 1862), an engine fitter, and Mary Smith (b. 1861), both Worcestershire natives who had married in 1883.
