23 de sept. de 2013 · Following the 1983 model year, Mercury pulled the plug on its personal luxury coupe experiment, canceling the LN7 after just two years in the showroom. For 1984, Ford's EXP returned with a new look and a new model designed to address complaints that the EXP was too slow to be a sport coupe.
After the 1988 model year, the EXP was discontinued, as Ford pared down its coupe model lines to the Ford Thunderbird, Ford Mustang, and the Ford Probe. As of current production, Ford has not produced another 2-seat sports compact (its only 2-seat offerings have been the Thunderbird and Ford GT ).
