John T. McCutcheon was a cartoonist who rose to fame in the 1930s. Before his fame, he was a young man in the Midwest eager to explore and learn. McCutcheon was born in Tippecanoe County, Indiana on May 6, 1870. [1] He was one of two children born to John Barr McCutcheon and Clara Glick McCutcheon.
