Hace 5 días · And now, RIP Steve Thompson. « on: December 24, 2007, 02:40:45 PM ». I just got an email from drummer Colin Allen that bassist Steve Thompson has died today. He was one of my earliest bass playing inspirations, for what he did in the drummer-less John Mayall band in 1960/70, the band that made "Turning Point". Such beautifully percussive playing.
