The Thing, however, hit theaters only to be met by ambivalence from ticket buyers and outright contempt from critics. Of course, as time has progressed, both parties have changed their tunes considerably. It's just surprising that the critical reaction to Carpenter's Cold War-esque sci-fi chiller was ever as cold as the film's Arctic setting.

20 de abr. de 2024 · this model is the flying saucer from the classic john carpenter's the thing. but its still in "work in progress" and i hope you guys like it. sadly im not as skilled at making the 2011 prequel version... but im sure you guys might have the skill to do that.

Christine (1983), adapted from a Stephen King novel about a possessed car, and the sci-fi movie Starman (1984) were both well received.
