The Ivor Novello Awards, named after the entertainer Ivor Novello, are awards for songwriting and composing. They have been presented annually in London by the Ivors Academy, formerly called the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers, and Authors, since 1956.
The Ivors is one of the most respected music awards that celebrates songwriters and screen composers. It presents Ivor Novello statuettes in judged and Gift of the Academy categories, and honours Bruce Springsteen as a Fellow in 2024.
The Ivors Academy presents Ivor Novello Awards to songwriters and composers for their craft and achievements since 1956. They are judged by acclaimed music creators from the Academy and are the only awards for songwriters and composers judged by their peers.
