She was a free-spirited, lively and adventurous girl with Asian features and a flower power style. She met Syd at a party and became his muse for a short film, and appeared on the back cover of his album The Madcap Laughs.

She was also known as "Iggy the Eskimo" for her alleged Inuit heritage and was the one-time girlfriend of the late Pink Floyd singer-songwriter Syd Barrett.
