I hadn't seen the first one and had never really heard of the Blade Runner but i was a big fan of Denis Villeneuve because of Arrival and decided to just watch this movie one day. I think it's the most beautiful movie I've ever watched. On top of that the story and world were amazing.

I wasn’t a big fan of the original Blade Runner but I remember hanging that beautiful one-sheet in my editing room for years.
I like Danse Macabre for the original and Aerodynamik for 2049. Danse Macabre is a pretty big departure from the original though. It cuts it down under 90 minutes and changes the soundtrack. I wasn't a big fan of the original, but the edit helped me appreciate it. Both edits shorten the run time and tighten the pacing.
