Fun fact, Godley & Creme invented their own analog synthesizer-type guitar attachment called The Gizmo, which was a large box that you strapped onto a guitar neck to produce novel sounds. They made a double album to showcase it called Consequences.

The song itself is a compelling mixture of raw guitar and evolving vocals that capture the complexity of emotional betrayal.
