What happened to Rick Danko wasn't an isolated accident of cruel fate, wasn't the outcome of deep depression and self-hatred; not to over-simplify (and, god knows, not to disrespect), but apparently the 'good' times killed him--that and, according to Helm, all the people with their hands in his pockets that made him work himself to death (nice denial, Levon).
