On retropie I got house of the dead to load fine however alot of controls and set up process can be finicky on retropie... The moment I switched to batocera it just loaded and played without any configuring necessary runs great no complaints running on a raspberry pi 4 4gb batocera with a fake Wii remote and dolphin bar plugged into a powered USB hub.
