Do-Gooder. Horace Eugene Flaccus Slughorn, more commonly referred to as Horace Slughorn is a supporting character in the Harry Potter franchise. He is a retired potions professor and head of Slytherin house. He was portrayed by Jim Broadbent, Who also voiced Mr Grubber in both Paddington Movies, Santa in Arthur Christmas .
5 de ago. de 2009 · Slughorn first appeared in the Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.When Dumbledore came to Privet Drive to collect Harry, he had to stop in on Slughorn because he wanted him to teach again.He pretended to be attacked when they came to the house that he was in, and Dumbledore quickly found him hiding as a couch. He left to go to the bathroom, and left Harry with Slughorn.
Among the family members was Horace Slughorn, Potions Master and Head of Slytherin House in the 1940s and after a period of retirement, again in the late 1990s. His father was a high ranking Ministry official at the Department of International Magical Co-operation. He and his wife had both died by the time Horace retired in late 1981.
When Harry Potter used Felix Felicis, several events occurred that were beneficial to Harry and his friends; the main being Harry obtaining the memory from Slughorn. Harry only took a small portion, for roughly two-to-three hours of effect. Harry obtained the uncorrupted memory from Horace Slughorn about Horcruxes.
