Honestly the only time i have ever seen or heard of Bale acknowledging Ledger as Joker was at the MTV awards in 2012 when they showed a trailer featuring footage from all three movies and when its over Bale says something like "I love that footage of Heath" then he gets a somber look on his face and looks down as if he was saying "I really miss my friend.
