GNOME Builder is a general purpose integrated development environment (IDE) for the GNOME platform, primarily designed to aid in writing GNOME-based applications. It was initially released on March 24, 2015. The application's tagline is "A toolsmith for GNOME-based applications".
In order to start writing an application for the GNOME desktop environment, you should follow these steps: download and install the latest version of GNOME Builder. in the Welcome screen, select Create new project… configure the project options. write “text-viewer” as the project’s name.
