1 de dic. de 2023 · What finally got it to work for me was to extract the JSON folder in the emulation folder, however, after this going into the JSON folder and copying/pasting these files directly into the emulation folder. For some reason having just JSON folder with the files in it was messing with fightcade. hope this helps anyone having issues.

[Solved - solution in reply below] When entering a lobby, a command line window pops up saying "searching for required roms". It closes shortly after, leaving behind a zero byte *.tmp file in the correct ROM folder location.
10 de may. de 2022 · The right place, by the way, for the json files is ~/.var/app/com.fightcade.Fightcade/data/. The easiest way to open that folder is start Fightcade on Steam Deck destop, open ROM folder from the pull down menu, and then go up one folder. 7 de ene. de 2023 · Use https://fightcade.guide OP if you still couldnt fix this. The JSON method is the best, easiest and quickest. If you still get issues then theres something you skipped or didnt do right. Thanks for the excellent advice, and for shilling my site for me :D. For real though, it works, I swear.
18 de may. de 2022 · Delete everything related to Fightcade and it’s ROMs and start from scratch following this way: Download this zip, unzip the content directly in */FightCade/emulator in a way where you see all the json files in there. 2.5. Exit all channels manually if you’re in game channels. 3.
1 de feb. de 2022 · I trust the using the json downloader more than a megaupload file, or variant (not to be confused with "that other" variant...) You can open the JSON files with notepad and see where it gets the roms from. It is safe, they used the archive.org site, but they changed it to another host that is faster than ever.
