Opened in 1965, the Eleanor Donnelly Erdman was designed as a modern Scottish castle by architect Louis Kahn. Composed of three connecting units (or "diamonds"), it houses the College's largest dining hall, and several meeting spaces.
Erdman Hall Dormitories at Bryn Mawr Pennsylvania 1960—1965. Erdmann Hall of Bryn Mawr College is designed as three cubic structures with smaller cubic structures within. According to Louis Kahn, the three cubes connected at the corners of this building represent three interconnected families.
