The project aims to have a full-scale 1.5MtCO2/yr CCS plant operational by around 2025, which will form the basis of a Dunkirk-North Sea CCS cluster by 2035 capable of storing 10MtCO2/yr.

The project will reduce yearly CO2 emissions from ArcelorMittal’s steel-making facilities in Dunkirk by 2.85Mt by 2030.
