Drambuie / dræmˈbuːi / is a golden-coloured, 40% ABV liqueur made from Scotch whisky, heather honey, herbs and spices. The brand was owned by the MacKinnon family for 100 years, and was bought by William Grant & Sons in 2014.

The Drambuie origin is the stuff of legends - one which tells of the flight of Bonnie Prince Charlie to the Isle of Skye after his defeat at the Battle of Culloden.
Pursued by the King’s men he fled to The Isle of Skye. After a period of exile on the island his pursuers caught up with him and his fate lay with the Clan MacKinnon who bravely helped the Prince escape the British Isles for good.
