The Dragon School is a private school across two sites in Oxford, England. The Dragon Pre-Prep (children aged 4–7) and Prep School (children aged 8–13) are both co-educational schools. The Dragon Prep School was founded in 1877 as the Oxford Preparatory School. It takes day pupils and boarders.

We’re excited that you’re interested in joining us, and we’re here to help you discern whether the Dragon is the right choice for your child or children and your family. Our Admissions Process The usual points of entry to the Pre-Prep are Reception (4+) and Year 3 (7+).
Boarding is the beating heart of the Dragon. In our nine vibrant boarding homes, the focus is very simple: family, friends and having fun. If you arrange to visit the Dragon, make sure you speak to a young boarder for their view – we’re sure you’ll hear about all of the above – and more!
