Defined this way, it encompasses both funding liquidity (the ease of raising cash by selling new obligations to investors) and market liquidity (the ease of raising cash by selling assets).
1 de jun. de 2010 · This study examines the impact of cross-listing in the United States on domestic liquidity for a sample of 277 firms from 30 countries in the period 1996–2005. We use intraday data and consider quoted spreads, price impact, turnover, and PIN as measures of liquidity.
1 de oct. de 2022 · Based on regression results, domestic liquidity of cross-listed stocks increases significantly, in the cross-listing year, 2 years afterwards, and in all subsequent years. However, the effect on domestic liquidity in the year before cross-listing is not statistically significant.
The optimal management of gross capital ows is also analyzed in Aizenman (2011). In their model reserves are used to prevent contagion in the liquidation of domestic projects. The optimal policy involves both a tax on external borrowing and a subsidy on the accumulation of private reserves.
