District 9: The Board Game is a competitive 2 – 4 player game that lets players relive the sci-fi classic through a whole new perspective. Taking on the role of a faction from the District 9 world, players vie for control of the district and its technological resources by interacting with the local population, iconic characters, and each other.

Each “day” consists of a series of rounds with players each taking actions to move, claim areas, reveal or pick up tech tiles, upgrade their faction or engage enemy hostiles.

The game, when it arrives, will have both singleplayer and multiplayer modes, with both taking place on the same map. The multiplayer is, as noted, a battle royale mode, with up to 150 players fighting together.
