Derren Brown (born 27 February 1971) is an English entertainer, mentalist, illusionist, and writer. Brown began performing in 1992, making his television debut with Mind Control (2000).
Derren Brown, Mind Reader – An Evening of Wonders, initially toured for 42 dates from 29 April 2007 in Blackpool, and ended 17 June in Bristol. The show toured again from February until April 2008 throughout the UK, and concluded with a West End run at the Garrick Theatre during May and early June.

Derren is an atheist and a sceptic of supernatural claims, but holds that too often disbelief can ‘narrow into a rigid and negative approach which can fail to get its message across. It can also disregard our vital search for meaning, which repeatedly trumps our need for truth’.
