Sinopsis. Paul Kersey es un vigilante que regresa a Nueva York para visitar a un amigo. pero cuando llega se encuentra con que éste está a punto de morir, víctima de una paliza que le ha propinado la banda de Manny Fraker. Para colmo de males, en ese preciso momento entra la policía y sorprende a Paul sosteniendo un arma en el lugar del crimen.
