Christine Bottomley (born 27 April 1979) is an English actress. Her television roles include playing Kirsty in EastEnders (2001), Melanie in Early Doors (2003–2004), Susie Ward in Heartbeat (2003), and Zoey Wyatt in Shameless (2006). Other credits include Massive (2008), Hope Springs (2009), Land Girls (2009), and Hush (2008).
Shortly afterwards she was making her television debut in the soap 'Eastenders' and has subsequently cropped up in several popular television dramas, including 'Heartbeat' and 'The Innocence Project' though she probably gave her best performance as an abused wife, turning the tables on her bullying husband in the BBC mini-series 'The Street'.

She is best known for her regular roles as Melanie in the BBC comedy series Early Doors and Susie Ward in Heartbeat. Born in Rochdale, she went on to study at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, before taking her first role in an episode of Eastenders.
She went to several local youth drama groups before embarking on a course at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, from where she graduated in 2001. Shortly afterwards she was making her television debut in the UK soap Eastenders and has subsequently cropped up in several popular television dramas.
